Waiver and Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk

I do hereby acknowledge and accept all the risks associated with handling and eating meat from wild game, or other domestic meat sources that have been donated to Montana Veterans Meat Locker, a Montana Non-Profit Corporation, and of which I have taken possession. I understand the risks of food-borne illnesses from handling and consuming raw or undercooked meat, either wild game meat or domestic meat, that I have obtained from Montana Veterans Meat Locker. I understand the risks to my person, or other persons, including, but not limited to, food poisoning from E. Coli or Salmonella, Chronic Wasting Disease, and the potential social and economic losses that may occur by accepting meat from Montana Veterans Meat Locker, and hereby assume full responsibility for any and all damages, injuries or losses that I may sustain or incure, and any damages, injuries or losses that another may incure by handling or consuming any meat of which I have taken possession. I further release, waive, discharge and covenant not to bring any claims against Montana Veterans Meat Locker, employees, officers, volunteers, agents or donors for any injuries to me, my family, heirs, and next of kin for losses, expenses or damages of any kind alleged to be caused in whole or in party by Montana Veterans Meat Locker, its employees, officers, volunteers, agents or donors. This release is binding upon myself, personal representatives, guardians, heirs, next of kin, successors and assigns. I further agree that if anyone on my behalf makes a claim against Montana Veterans Meat Locker, its employees, officers, volunteers, agents or donors, I will indemnify and reimburse and forever hold harmless Montana Veterans Meat Locker and its employees, officers, volunteers, agents or donors from any and all injuries, costs, damages, and attorney’s fees. I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS AGREEMENT AND I AM AWARE THAT BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS AND HAVE SIGNED IT FREELY AND WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT, REPRESENTATION, OR ASSURANCE OF ANY NATURE AND INTEND IT TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
